Lessons learned from the Baby Borrowers

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

I’m fascinated by the show The Baby Borrowers. Teen couples who are dating & want to have kids are given a chance to take care of children through different stages of development for several days. If I was a parent, I don’t think that I’d lend my kid to teens to watch. However, they do have a nanny on hand to keep the children from danger & the parents get to watch the teens from a camera.

Then the teens switch to the next age group. The one thing I don’t understand about this show is that at the end they have to take care of the elderly. That is not usually in the parenting description. Overall, I think the show is very eye opening & will hopefully bring the reality of parents to these young couples.

Man vs. Wild

I am in love with the show Man vs. Wild on the Discovery channel. Basically, a hot British guy named Bear purposely gets stranded in crazy places & then shows us how to get out alive. He is always jumping across ravines & eating grubs.

I don’t know if the show is real, I doubt it. There are way too many camera men around for Bear to actually be doing this all alone. However, it would take a laptop & some serious gps tracking devices & memory to get me out of the wild alive, so I admire him for that.

Love lessons from High School Reunion

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

I only watched a few episodes of this show, but it really got me thinking about having crushes. It seems like our first love stays perfect in our minds forever. It’s the person that we measure everyone else against.

They are still attractive to us when we see them twenty years later even though they are balding with a beer belly. Even though if we met someone for the first time with a beer belly we would immediately dismiss them as being too old or unattractive. It’s crazy way the heart & mind work.
