The Best Hair on TV

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I’m watching Will & Grace & even though the show has been off the air for years it’s obvious that Grace still has the best hair ever. I hate it when Debra tries anything else with her hair. It reminds me of why I had tried to be auburn for so many years; but it never looked as natural as hers. Also her spiral curls are the best but I could never achieve that look with a perm.

SUCH A HEATHER

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

This guest post from Edgardo Rosa

When the Beatles wrote the song, “Day Tripper”, I think that they were clairvoyant and wrote it for me, the world’s worst daydreamer. Sometimes I catch myself daydreaming for hours, especially when I shouldn’t be and the thing is, I don’t know what I am daydreaming about. I used to be very focused pupil and I always got an assigned task at work and school done ASAP. I would immediately get started, wouldn’t put things off, and would do the best work I could as fast as I could. Now, the story is very different. Well I guess it is more like being in lala land because I’m not actually thinking about anything any thing in particularly. I take mental breaks and vacays now when I’m doing anything and everything. Today, I was searching WIRELESS home Security for my boss and twenty minutes later I glanced at my watch and couldn’t remember a thing I read or done. I felt like such a Heather ( one of my favorite movies from the eighties reference). I also went to Target the other day and had absolutely no recollection of the ride over there. My mom says its just getting older and stress, but automaticity is starting to worry me. Maybe I need to step it up to the bold blend at Starbucks.

The Most Embarrassing Moment

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I’ve officially tracked down one of the most painfully embarrassingly dating moments ever and luckily it wasn’t even mine. It was on the show Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys who comes from the Sundance Channel. Otherwise thanks to Netflix Instant Watch I never would’ve even known that there was an actual show like this.

Anyways the moment was with Rosebud. At first she was pretty happy dating a street musician. She seemed head over heels for him. I knew that eventually the money aspect would come up because how does anyone survive in a big city like that? Rosebud went out on a date for her birthday. The show never said who instigated the birthday dinner but I would assume it was her boyfriend because that’s the proper thing to do. At dinner she opens a card from her aunt and there’s money inside. Her boyfriend then takes the money from the card and puts it on top of the check to pay for her birthday dinner. So inappropriate.
