Has Jeff Lewis gone too far?

Filed under: Business Lessons • Comments: None

I’ve enjoyed the antics on Flipping Out. I love the fact that there’s an entire hierarchy of assistants just to take care of dogs. Then Jeff has to micromanage them to the point that his life would be easier without assistants. It seems to consume all of his thoughts & actions.

I wish I looked like Jenny. It’s more than being thin, she is just gorgeous. Although, I’m sure losing a few pounds or taking eca stack would make me look more like her. Anyways, I was shocked when Jeff installed a nanny cam to see why his employees weren’t getting everything done. It blew up in his face when he had to fire one of his best friends. Then Chris Elwood mysteriously left his wife Jenny who also works for Jeff. To make it more complicated Jenny & Chris lived in one of Jeff’s apartments. I wonder if it was really worth it.

At one point I really thought that Mr. Lewis was vindicated when it looked like Chris was sorting through personal papers. However, installing a nanny cam isn’t something I’d ever want to do. What do you think? Has Jeff Lewis gone too far?

I love the new Millennium

Filed under: Business Lessons • Comments: None

First there was I love the 80’s. Then there were two I love the 80’s sequels. Then there was the I love the 70’s, which was a failure because most people that watch vh1 are too young to remember the 70’s. Now there is I love the new millennium & the decade isn’t even over yet. “Remember how crazy we were last year? Ha, we were so young & foolish.” I guess the business lesson here is: if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, just multiply it.

Lessons learned from The Pursuit of Happyness

Filed under: Business Lessons • Comments: None

Yes, occasionally I learn lessons from movies beyond the fact that Will Smith is a handsome, handsome man. Only occasionally. I just started watching The Pursuit of Happyness. I haven’t seen it in several months. However, I just looked at the movie case & smiled.

This movie filled me with hope & inspiration. It was like my brain suddenly had outdoor lighting installed. Lately, business has been going slow. Add to that the fact that the price of everything from gas to food has risen dramatically, I’ve been feeling a little discouraged in the business area. Then, I remember that I just need to keep going & keep dreaming.
