Suze Orman Has Me Trained Well

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

Whenever I see people spending any kind of money I get a mild sense of panic. I wonder what their finances really look like and can just imagine a future call of theirs on The Suze Orman show. This was even manifested when I was watching Bayou Billionaires. They probably have lots of money and still seem to live in pretty modest houses and trailers. However, every time they do something silly like buy a toupee I get anxious because I don’t want them to go in the hole because they are such nice people. I need to remember that there are some people who can actually afford it and it’s good for the economy for them to spend money.

He’s Still Just Not That Into You

I thought it was pretty funny that this movie was airing a lot on TV over the Valentine’s Day weekend. However, I always cringe when the girls talk about calling him after a first date. Sometimes I forget this lesson if the guy is really cute and wears cowboy boots. They all make up tons of excuses about how maybe his phone got shut off or he got a mild case of amnesia. It was a good refresher course that sometimes men will tell you the things that most women won’t: if he’s not calling he’s just not that interested. Still…I think it’s a harsh lesson to try and deliver so close to Valentine’s.

Who’s Your Favorite?

I’m really disappointed that Austin isn’t winning more challenges on Project Runway All Stars. Since he’s such a big personality I just thought he would do better but he seems quite subdued and is constantly criticized on the runway. I hated it when he was close to getting eliminated just for making clothes that actual people may want to wear. I would rather see a show like Austin and Santino where both personalities are showcased instead of just picking apart their design skills all the time.
