What All Brides Say

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I’ve been watching a lot of Bridezilla shows as well as My Fair Wedding and Who’s Wedding Is It Anyways? I’ve seen all of these brides spends thousands of dollars and lose friends and family members over their controlling behavior. At least once though they all seem to say that they just want their wedding over with. Since I haven’t been a bride myself I wonder if every bride has this moment and if so why she ever even bothers to plan such an elaborate wedding to begin with. Most of them just say on their wedding day that they’re excited for the Honeymoon. I’d at least want to build my own wooden gazebos. That way I could keep it in my yard and enjoy it after all the stress was over.

The Hottest New Materials

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I am always aware of the latest interior design materials thanks to all of the decorating shows I watch. It seems like whenever they do a kitchen makeover now they include glass tiles. At first this just started out as a backsplash. I’ve also seen it used for a countertop on a vanity. It’s even a popular floor to ceiling look in bathrooms to create a focal wall.

When I was looking around the Eden Mosaic Tile site though I found out that there are a lot more than just glass mosaic tiles. I had seen stainless steel before but I’d never come across aluminum and even wood versions. I also knew about there being stone versions like slate; but I had no idea that there were dual versions with both materials. This way you get the natural look of stone and the shimmer of glass. When I saw this material on TV I thought it would be out of my price range but the clearance section makes it affordable.

If Suze Has to Keep Saying It

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

Just a few weeks ago there were even more heartbreak stories on the Suze Orman show. People call in all the time in danger of losing a home even though they pay their bills. It’s all because they cosigned a loan. If you know enough about Suze Orman to know that you can call in I don’t know how you don’t know that she’s going to lecture you about cosigning a loan.
