Project Accessory

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

So far I like Project Accessory just as much as I like Project Runway; maybe even a little bit more. I would think that it would take more time to make accessories than clothes; at least when you’re talking about jewelry. I’m also pretty excited to see all of the different challenges that they can come up with because it seems like it would get pretty repetitive after awhile. Have you watched the show?

Ruby TV Show

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

The good thing about Netflix is that I end up with all different kinds of shows that I wouldn’t have watched otherwise. Ruby was one of those shows. It made me want to make a goal and stick to a plan. I’d probably need salesforce reporting for my business. I just need solid numbers to look at. I love that this show is so real. I know it’s been on for several seasons but I just want her to be able to lose all of the weight she wants. I never thought before what it would be like not to be able to sit in a chair. I hate how people treat her and snicker at her & it made me resolve to be nicer to everyone.

Lessons Learned from Bar Rescue

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I was initially just watching this show for entertainment but I learned something about both business and the human psyche. People really hang onto their names. They absolutely refuse to change the name even if it sounds more like a hotel than a bar. Some of them even remind me of a spa where you’d use mud soap. The bar owners just don’t get that the name needs to say something about what the business actually is. It also brought about one of my favorite lines which went something like “You can hold onto what you’ve been doing but it is what is failing you”.
