Til Debt Do Us Part Lessons

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I’ve written about this MSNBC show before but I just seem to keep learning more and more from it. It’s like I owe it several thank you cards. There seems to be a pattern. At first, they just seem to be in denial that they are overspending. Then they look at the numbers but insist there’s absolutely no way that they could cut anything out of their budget. They sometimes have their budgets cut by 80%. However, in the end they always seem to be able to pull it off and they even say that it’s really easy; usually they have money left over. It just goes to show that either with finances or any kind of challenge you just need to have the ability to at least try.

The Best Prank Ever

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I wish that it was April Fools or that I had an arch nemesis. I really fell in love with the garden party episode of The Office. Jim writes a book and sales it on ebay and Dwight buys it to learn how to throw a garden party. Of course the book has all kinds of absurd things to make Dwight look silly. However, I really love that Jim took all of that effort just to make himself (and Pam) laugh.

Do You Like The New Boss?

I mean on The Office of course. I was a little bit skeptical and let down when I first saw that Andy was the new manager. However, then it made perfect sense. Sure, every office has that one weird guy who occssionally shows up wearing something unexpected like snowmobile goggles for no apparent reason. However, on TV they can be as weird and quirky as they want and it just makes an interesting show. He was the only one who really had all of the heart and quirkiness of Michael Scott. I really thought that the show wouldn’t survive without Michael but the past few episodes have been some of the funniest episodes that I’ve ever remembered. Do you miss Michael?
