Whenever Kate talks about how reality TV was good for her family she mentions the same thing. She always says how happy she is that her kids got to travel. I had never thought before how expensive it would be just to go to the movies or something with that many kids; let alone go on serious vacations. On the series finale she did a pretty good job of explaining that the show was the only way it would be possible. Plus, it’s even good that the kids got it on film so that they could remember it when they are older.

The other part that I’ve even criticized before is that the show stopped seeming real. It was a different trip every episode. However, then she explained that at first the show was about them staying home and living their lives all the time. However, now all the kids were actually old enough to really go out so that’s why the show seemed to change so much.

I think that it’s pretty easy to look at Kate Gosselin and yell at her. She never seems to pay enough attention to her kids unless they are on some sort of reality show. She is always yelling: first at Jon and now at everyone else now that he’s gone. After the show I always want to clean my house, or go look for nice ann gish linens. I crave order and quiet.

However, it dawned on me during the series finale last night. She has eight kids: no wonder she is stressed out. You could probably put anyone in the same situation and they’d do exactly the same thing just because she has so many things to keep together at any one moment.

I was pretty shocked to see the series finale of Kate plus 8. Like it wasn’t so shocking that people everywhere were grabbing their htc incredible s virgin phones to talk about it. It seems to be one of the more controversial shows on TV. Everyone always says about Kate that she’s either the kind of person that you love or you hate.

I think what really surprised me was to see the old footage. At one time, they were just a happy family with Jon and Kate and all their kids. They were pretty humble and even seemed embarrassed by the whole media thing at times. I hadn’t realized how much they’d changed. I hope that some of their over the top personalities are just for the camera. However, I guess it could kind of have been that they were really nice and mellow on their best behavior at first and then we really saw who they truly are over time.
