The Best Lessons from Toddlers & Tiaras

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I think one of the best lessons from Toddler’s and Tiaras was about an episode that was around Halloween time. The woman was a stepmother and helped her daughter put together goodie bags for the rest of the contestants. Then she talked with her about how she’d feel if she had to give the goodie bags to the girls if she had lost. It gave the kid something to really look forward. It shows that there’s always room for kindness whether it’s in underground storm shelters or beauty contests. It was so nice to see that someone was teaching their kid about being gracious instead of just teaching them to win at any cost.

More Lessons from Oprah

It’s been awhile since Oprah’s last episode but I’ve still been thinking about something she said. She mentioned that all of her guests throughout the years had one thing in common. She said it was something like they want to be heard. I think this is true of all people and it’s really why she was so successful. We loved her because she listened as well as taught.

Things I Learned from HGTV

I tend to watch a lot of crafting shows. Some crafters are much too advanced for me such as Martha Stewart. However, others are totally on my level but I never get around to crafting. Instead I usually just end up looking for a gift online for any occasion that looks homemade. I love those photo collages of random street art where every photo is a different letter of your last name; but I can never find the letters in real life.
