I’m Really Learning a Lot

I think the show “How I Met Your Mother” really has a lot of great lessons in it, especially if you’re single. The other night there was a quote “not every night has a happy ending but it’s all leading somewhere”. You can’t meet the true love of your life every night. Some nights are full of painful learning lessons. Plus, I really love the idea of a “woo girl”. You know the girl in a cowboy hat who always has her hand up in the air and yells “woo” after everything. About time we had a name for that.

Talk About Typecasting

Tom Waits is one of those people that instantly stands out. You don’t have to sit there in the movie theatre and wonder “Is that Tom Waits?” The second his face appears on the screen and especially once he speaks, you know who he is. Even if I’m on my laptop looking at one a day vitamins I instantly know who he is. I recently saw him in “Wristcutters: A Love Story” and “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus”. Granted, I didn’t understand the last movie at all. However, I’m pretty sure that Tom Waits is usually cast as some form of deity either good or bad. That’s where he belongs.

Inspiring Gameshow Moment

I was watching “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” for a few seconds trying to figure out if I can understand the new format. I can’t. However, this guy was answering the million dollar question. Of course I looked up from my search for the best weight loss pills. He said “Honestly, I don’t need a million dollars. I love my job; I’d still do exactly what I do now if I was a millionaire”. He said that he was “satisfied” with $100,000. He would’ve gotten the question right too. It was just amazing to see someone with that life philosophy. Usually I just feel bad for people who don’t win it all, but that guy was inspiring.
