If You Are Ever on Project Runway

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

If you are ever on Project Runway follow my advice. Never talk about how you miss your kids or your spouse. If they call you to encourage you and your show is being sponsored by whatever company gave you the telephone just don’t answer. Sure it will be tough. However, of course the producers and edit teams will need copy of people actually using the sponsor phone. It’s really the kiss of death. As soon as you say you miss your kids, you’re going to be sent home simply because then the TV audience won’t feel so bad about you being cut. Just don’t do it.

Dear Aubrey and Liz,

Surely you know you are the protagonists. Surely you know that you will never be a part of the much lauded tattoo family. I just don’t think that Aubrey is a good enough actress to fake it. I really think that she believed she was going to be a mainstay and not be made a total fool out of. When she got fired she just totally melted down. When they shot that scene in her apartment she looked totally un-Aubrey like. I doubt she even showered and was in serious need of phisoderm body wash.

You’d think that Liz would be smarter. I actually turned the show off last week. I doubt that I’ll be tuning into L.A. Ink again. Ok, I probably will but I won’t like it. I’ve watched every episode since it started but now I just feel like the viewers are being treated like they are idiots.

Lessons Learned from Four Weddings

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: 1

I’ve noticed kind of a pattern on this TLC show. The idea behind the show is that four brides attend each others weddings and give them scores on various aspects. The person with the highest score wins a dream vacation. There is always one bride who is very picky and totally disses everyone else’s big day. She is usually the bride with the smallest budget. Instead of being humble and resourceful she just has this fake bravado or front up.

Then when people actually get to her wedding it’s usually just filled with construction paper, cold chicken and one beautiful dress. The food usually has the same benefits of colon cleansing. After all of that she still thinks she’s going to win just because she had the best dress. However, she usually comes in last. It seems that your actual wedding guests really don’t care about the dress as much as they care about the food/location/and party.
