Lessons Learned from the Iron Chef

I am not the best cook in the world. I’m hardly an adequate cook. I watch Iron Chef for the sheer entertainment value. I like to watch people cook really really fast. Sometimes I feel bad that I can’t cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner and when I’m done I practically need Anilox cleaning.

However, the Iron Chefs fail at the same thing every time they attempt it. Whenever they try to make foam for a garnish on their plates it falls into a soup before it gets to the judges. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it done successfully. Out of all the crazy stuff we see them do none of them can manage this. I’ve seen them make sushi that looks like stained glass windows. I’ve got one up on them because I can use whip cream from a can. Take that iron chefs.
