That’s Not Exactly Karma

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: 2

I caught the tail end of one of those court TV shows. The woman had been accused of stalking another person on MySpace and it messed up the victims’ life somehow. The woman gave all these reasons why the other person was bad and said “I believe in karma.” Karma had a little help. You can’t just do what you think a person deserves and then call it karma, that’s revenge. Two very different things.

What Did You Expect?

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I’m always amazed at the people who go on Judge Judy. Surely they’ve seen the show before. Somehow they see to think that just because they are right or just because they think they are right it will facilitate a miraculous transformation. They will be able to yell over the other person’s story and Judge Judy will just turn to them and say “You are right here is a pile of money. Your rudeness is excused and I won’t embarrass you on public TV. Now we are best friends I’ll put you on my holiday cards list.” Every guest in the courtroom seems to have this attitude. Please, watch the show and notice a pattern. Then learn from it. Its Judge Judy what did you expect?

Won’t Miss Jon & Kate

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I’ve been dreading the end of Jon & Kate plus 8. I really wish the best to the Gosselin kids. It also puts a major hole in my TV watching program. However, I haven’t watched the last few episodes because they’ve been doing a lot of filler shows because of the way that Jon halted production on the show. When I started watchign again I noticed that I hadn’t missed the show. Inf act I even feel stressed out and my body is tent when I watch it. I’ve been able to think about things other than this family and their drama like lasik surgery Mexico. It’s probably best for me that it’s over.

The sad part is that we’ll both still see Jon & Kate. They will be blaming the show’s demise on each other. They won’t go away, we just won’t have any of the positive stuff anymore. They will still be publicly fighting. We just won’t be able to see the cute Gosselin kids every week and the parents won’t have to at least pretend a few hours a week that they are active in their kid’s lives.
