I bet he wants to take that back

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I had a pretty good laugh at “18 Kids and Counting” on TLC. Mrs. Duggar was getting a prompt from an off stage voice about what to talk about next. I understand the concept, but the voice just got it all wrong. The man said something like “With all your children is it important to like uh spend time with each one of them?” Really? You are supposed to talk to each and every one of them even if you have a whole bunch of kids? I never would’ve known. Thank you TV for the lesson.

Psychologically Jumping the Shark

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

I don’t think that the show House has jumped the shark. I don’t even think it’s in danger of jumping the shark. However, there have been occurrences lately that have forever changed the course of the show. Chase basically killed a dictator, an evil evil dictator. Foreman is helping Chase cover up the death of the evil evil dictator. I guess the writers just thought that now that House is sober, they better make the other characters evil. Why don’t they just let things be good? House can get his own apartment and decorate it with wrought iron candle sconces and then date Dr. Lisa Cuddy. Why can’t that just happen?

I know they probably just did it to get our attention and in a few episodes everything will be back to normal. However, murdering someone is not going to be made right by the next season’s plot ploy. I now think of both of these doctors differently and I forever will. What other series can you think of that jumped the shark psychologically speaking?

Dear Families of Hoarders,

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

I’ve been seeing a lot of you on the A&E show Hoarders. I really don’t understand what you are doing. The hoarder tells you that they need to sort through every little thing. Then the psychologist tells you that the hoarder needs to sort through every single thing. Then the organizer tells you the hoarder needs to sort through every little thing. Almost every single episode a family member in their overzealousness starts loading up the truck thinking that the person will just forget that they didn’t use to have a clean yard. Every single time the hoarder becomes suspicious and it seriously halts and sets back the process. Just don’t throw out the stuff without an ok first.

Sincerely,

Sarakastic
