How to find a dog the Gene Simmons Way

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: 1

The line between the upper and middle classes has never been more prevalent than when Gene Simmons lost his dog. He consulted a psychic. Then he asked this special company that finds dogs to come in. They even made a map of where the dog could possibly be. Gene asks if there is anything else they can do to find the dog. The dog finder guy says “Well…if money is no object.”

The next shot is them flying in a helicopter trying to find the dog. Does anyone else see a problem with this? They kept going “Oh, I think I see it!” when it was a coyote or a person. Even if they did manage to spot a dog how would they know it is their dog from that far away? I think the dog guy just really wanted to ride in a helicopter.

The TV is Giving me a Guilt Trip

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I usually tune in at the end of the Wendy Williams show to see what court show will be following it because on every channel on a weekday afternoon there is a court show. I know it’s not like visiting the Outer Banks but I need a break during the afternoon. Wendy ends her show by saying “I love you for watching”. Then I have a horrible guilt trip because someone I don’t know is telling me they love me for something I didn’t do. Then I feel obligated to tune into her show the next day to make up for it. Very smart Wendy Williams, very smart.

Celebrity Kids that Won’t Hate Their Parents

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

On most reality TV shows I feel like the kids are being exploited. Adolescence is hard enough, what with the acne treatments and everything without having your akward moments on display for the entire world to see. I know that most of them will grow up to write books detailing how their lives really were.

I watched a marathon of Family Jewels last night. I don’t think that Sophie & Nick will grow up to resent Gene Simmons & his girlfriend Shannon Tweed. Sure, the parents both showed up unexpectedly on a trip to Mexico that the kids had planned. However, the parents don’t use their kids and instead just interact and have fun with them. Sure, Nick & Sophie may feel like their parents smother them, but I think as they grow older they will respect Gene & Shannon more instead of growing resentful.
