I swore that I wasn’t going to watch the TLC show Deals on the Bus. I already spend enough time watching house hunting/home improvement/house selling/home improvement for house selling shows.

However, I turned on the TV & it was on & I watched it & now I’m hooked. You get on this bus with a bunch of other home buyers. You then go & tour 10 houses over a 2.5 hour period. That means that you only have 10-15 minutes per house. My only question is why would people do this? Yes, the tour is free. Yes, it’s efficient. However, you are also in the same room as your competition. It’s a bidding war waiting to happen.

Little Miss Perfect is a weekly show that documents child beauty pageants. It seems like people are either very pro or very con on this subject. I think when I was a little kid I wanted to be in beauty pageants just so I could wear the pretty dresses. I never told anyone this because I was too shy. Instead, I spent my time trying to turn my lemonade stand into a franchise opportunity.

I think it’s interesting that every pageant mom has the same argument. They all say that she does this because her daughter wants to. She will back this up by saying that pageants help build confidence & their daughters make a lot of friends. Personally, I just see a lot of stressed out kids vying for their mom’s approval while getting spray tans & wearing fake eyelashes.

Overall, I’m liking The Real World: Brooklyn a lot more than I thought it would. It seems to have gone back to the premise of the show, which is getting to know different people. It seems like most of the past seasons have just been full of fighting, drinking & people cheating on their girlfriends back home. It had very little to do with reality.

I was heartbroken when Ryan got called to active duty last week. It was on a show right after November’s election. I always like to know what the time frame is when they are taping the shows. I doubt they’ll show Cyber Monday. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Real World Christmas but they usually do a Valentine’s Day episode. He’s supposed to report in February I think. It’s just too real this time.
