The Real Paula Deen
Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: NoneI usually think of Paula Deen as the happy lady who cooks with more butter than any one person should. I love her laugh & she has a very entertaining cooking show. Her recipes always look yummy. I would cook them if I was sure that I could find diet pills that work afterwards.
She’s the kind of person that you always wish was your Grandma. I was shocked when I read an interview with Paula Deen in Reader’s Digest. Supposedly, she was an agoraphobic & could hardly leave the house for 20 years after her Mother’s death. She seems to have such a good relationship with her sons that it’s weird to think of such turmoil in her home. I think I love her more now that I know how much she has overcome. It just goes to show that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover.
