The saga that is Lauren & Heidi

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

As the Gilmore Girls would say “Oi with the poodles”. At first the whole Heidi Montag & Lauren Conrad feud on the Hills was interesting. I really thought that eventually they would make up, in spite of Spencer. Then weeks turned into a entire season of feuding. One season turned into two seasons of the same drama.

Spencer just keeps disowning every single person that dares utter the letters L or C. Just join a wine of the month club & have a dinner party & invite your friends. I can really see these two girls in retirement homes 50 years from now. All the other residents will ask “Have you seen Heidi lately? Do you want to be friends with her?” You don’t have to be friends, but please just let it go.

Fashion Lessons from the West Wing

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

I’m still making my way through the West Wing series. If we can learn anything from season 4 is that a good haircut makes all the difference. I didn’t even recognize CJ. She looks absolutely stunning with long hair.

Even Josh Lyman looks so much less creepy with a good haircut. I never understood why he seems to be the heart throb of the show, he just makes my skin crawl. Yes, that’s what I get from watching political dramas: get a good haircut.

What would you put in your fallout shelter?

Filed under: Lessons • Comments: None

Top design had an interesting challenge. The contestants had to design a fall out shelter that two people had to live in. Most of the teams tried to bring in the colors of nature & then added a lot of vases for some reason.

This left me to wonder, what would I put in my fall out shelter? I definitely wouldn’t fill it up with accessories from Pier 1 like all of the contestants did. I would have a computer so I could play solitaire. Hopefully I’d be able to find an Internet connection somewhere so I could look up everything from an auto insurance online quote to how to survive in a fallout shelter. I would take a few family heirlooms & lots & lots of books. What would you put in your fallout shelter?
