Say Yes to the Dress

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: 1

I’m a girl. I get the fact that a wedding day is pretty much the most important day of our lives. I get that a lot of women that buy bridal magazines aren’t even engaged. I admit that I look at wedding dresses even when I’m single. Maybe I’ve even browsed free audio books about wedding planning. Just to be prepared ya know.

So it was a given that I would watch Say Yes to the Dress! on TLC. The show follows brides trying to find gowns at Kleinfelds. I’m always amazed at how many thousands of dollars they are willing to spend on one dress. I know it’s a special day, but I’d rather have a really nice dress & a car.

I predict there will be a lot of crying on The Hills

Filed under: My Blogs • Comments: 1

I learned a huge lesson from The Hills. Roommate situations almost never work out, especially if you are living with your two best friends. Lauren moved in with her long time friend Lo. They invited Audrina who is Lauren’s friend to stay in the guest house. Surprise, surprise. Lo & Audrina don’t get along. They seem to be competing for Lauren’s friendship. Lauren is understandably torn apart by this. I’ve been through this before. It always seems like a great idea. You’ll all share an apartment & decorate it with Progress lighting. Somehow it always ends in tears.

Last week Audrina told Lo that they will never be friends. I don’t know if Audrina is trying to get her own spin off show. I just know if the feud gets big enough there is no way I can handle Lauren not speaking to Audrina. The show already follows Heidi, Lauren’s former friend. Pretty soon no one in LA will be speaking to each other.

Lessons learned from the Mole Finale

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

Of course I knew that Craig was the mole. Ok, so first I thought the mole was seven other people who were then eliminated. I would make an awesome detective. Hey, I used to play “Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego” when I was a kid. That makes me all sleuthy.

Craig was the adorable teddy bear who was everyone’s friend & just couldn’t do anything right. Everyone was expecting the mole to be one of the people who was always getting into fights. Instead, the mole was just humble & kind. I’m so happy that Mark won, it seemed like he really deserved it & that he’ll use the money well. The lesson I learned from this is be careful. Even the most adorable aww shucks guy can stab you in the back. It’s always who you least suspect. Well played Craig, well played.
