Lessons learned from My Fair Brady Maybe Baby
My Fair Brady has always been an excellent tutorial in what not to do in relationships. I never understood what Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) & Adrianne Curry (America’s Next Top Model) were doing together. I didn’t understand why they hooked up, dated, married or are now considering having a kid together. They just seem to fight a lot. They say they love each other, but it’s just such an odd couple.
What I really don’t understand is why they always “surprise” each other. Chris surprised Adrianne with an apartment in the first season basically saying she needed to live by herself. Adrianne surprised Chris with an elaborate photo album for his birthday that had Chris wondering if his wife liked girls. Then, Chris surprised Adrianne by taking her to the Surreal Life house where they met & asked her if she wanted to have his kids, even though she had already said it wasn’t the right time. She said no. I see a pattern that surprises don’t work for these two, so why don’t they see the same thing?
