Models have always been looked up to. Not only do we envy how skinny they are, it just seems like they have this glamorous life style. They seem to always have the nicest cars & be able to go shopping whenever they want & not have to think about getting a new tv lift cabinet for their house.

So I was shocked on the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency when a model had spent the night in her car instead of a hotel. I was even more shocked when the models didn’t know how much they were getting paid for a high end two day shoot. The rumors were that they were only going to make $250. They thought they should make at least $1,000. Peter Hamm assured them that it would be at least $600 each & the models didn’t strike so it must’ve been ok money. They don’t go on shoots every day. Especially when you consider that you may be giving up your high school/college years & you can only work a few years in the industry. I always thought that you would make enough money as a model that you wouldn’t have to worry about working when you are forced into retirement. Maybe their lives aren’t as glamorous as I thought.
