Iron Chef vs. Iron Chef America

Honestly, I prefer the Japanese version of Iron Chef even though I have to read the subtitles to understand words that sound like Ogio. I don’t even recognize most of the food that is used on that Iron Chef. Iron Chef America is easier to watch but the original Iron Chef is much more dramatic.

I guess it’s because of the culture. On the original Iron Chef, honor is on the line if someone loses. On Iron Chef America all of the bows & respect just seem so fake. Which do you prefer Iron Chef, or Iron Chef America?

  1. I love the original much more than the new one. I wish Food Network had bought the rest of the episodes and had them subbed or dubbed. Unfortunately, Food Network let the original show fade away while they focused on their own creation. Understandable, but unfortunate. Many of the original episodes that aired on Food Network can now be found on our website.
