Why are they fighting over Adam?

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

If you’ve been watching Real World Sydney then you know that Parisa & Trisha are fighting over the same boy. Usually when roommates are fighting over the same guy, he isn’t worth it. This is especially the case since Trisha has a boyfriend waiting for her back home. The scenario looks like this:

1. Trisha makes out with Adam.

2. Parisa makes out with Adam:

3. Adam tells Trisha that he likes her & only pities Parisa.

4. A roommate tells Parisa what Adam said.

5. Parisa asks Adam what he said. Adam denies anything he said & then makes out with Parisa.

6. Trisha finds Adam & asks him if he likes Parisa. He denies it. They make out. She talks about her boyfriend.

My question is why are these girls fighting over this guy? He wrote both of them love poems & put them in their rooms on the same night. Who does that? Seriously, it’s like sending out a mass e-mail that says “I love you, will you marry me?”. Adam has to be one of the worst players I’ve seen. Ewww just eww.

Lessons learned from Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Filed under: Relationship Lessons • Comments: None

I love to watch home improvement/decorating shows. However, there is usually just so much drama & fighting. People yell over paint colors & throw paint brushes at each other. Decorating should be fun. You should not hit your neighbor if you let a TV crew in your house & they painted your room brown.

This is why I love Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Well that & the fact that Ty Pennington is easy on the eyes. In the first few episodes of the show there was the usual fighting between the team. Somewhere along the way though they each found their niche & stopped trying to create drama. It became about the homeowners instead of about the drama. I wish more decorating shows would follow suit.

Business Lessons from the Real World

Filed under: Business Lessons • Comments: None

One of the minor plot lines from The Real World is that all of the housemates have to work together. This is usually at a job that a trained monkey can do. They mess it up every single season. Here are a few things to watch out for. The Real World is pretty much an entire lesson on how to not hold down a job.

  • The Real Worlders always seem to get in trouble for being late. You think they would catch on, but they never do.
  • They mess up the most important projects. They leave things for the last minute. They just count on their being Real Worlders to get them through. It always shows that they don’t care & that they are interested in everything except actually working.
  • Real Worlders yell at their boss. This is always a bad idea. I don’t care if you are on a TV show that thrives on drama, it’s still a bad idea.
  • Real Worlders date their coworkers & then ditch them a few weeks after they’ve gotten the person to quit their job in order to stand up for true love.

So basically if you do the exact opposite of this, you & your job will be fine.
