Lessons from American Princess

Here a few lessons that I learned from American Princess this season:

Actual royalty especially in beau form is really annoying. They always have bad hair & are pretentious. Leo was actually really cute but I think he was just the son of a wealthy banker, which is fine in my book.

Why don’t these girls practice beforehand? A little preparation goes a long ways. Obviously they can’t know all of the challenges that they’ll face. However, they could at least practice eating with the right utensils, dancing & making tea.

I’ve always wondered what a real ball is like. Both in this season & in the commercials for Australian Princess it showed the beaus suggesting a game where the princess’ are supposed to pick a paper bag off the ground with their teeth. Is this just standard royalty tomfoolery? That wasn’t what I imagined a ball to be like.

A little humility goes a long ways. I was really glad that Cassie won this season, even though she was berated for being shy & having low self confidence. It seemed at the end that the judges finally realized that she just is a humble person which is a novel concept for reality TV.

I really love tiaras, but I already knew that.
