What would Jo March do?

Ok, so technically Jo March is a character from my favorite book “Little Women”. However, there have been movie versions of “Little Women” & sometimes they show these movies on TV so it still counts. I was watching “Little Women” the other day & I couldn’t help but wonder, what would Jo March do? I’ve been having some problems in my business & have been wondering if I should try to change my industry altogether, or just be prepared for lean times.

I was struck with the storyline of how Jo started writing for trashy magazines. She eventually decided not to sacrifice her work just for money. She moved home, (for an entirely different reason) & just started writing a book about the things that she knew. This also happened to Anne of Green Gables, another heroine of mine. I’m sure that there are a lot of lessons about being a writer from Jo March, I just have to figure out what they are.

  1. There’s a lot to be learned from the classics. Just don’t let anyone break a slate over your head and call you ‘Carrots’…
