A family that fights together
A family that fights together, stays together. The Simpsons may not seem like the example of a perfect family. In fact, they often been put down for their violence & sarcasm. They’ve been blamed for society’s seeming decrease in family values. I know several families that have banned the show from their homes. (It’s not my fault that it’s so funny).
So I smiled when a local religious leader said “The thing about the Simpsons, is that they always work it out in the end”. It’s true, the Simpsons fight, real families fight. In the end though, they help each other to find a solution to whatever zany problem they are having. At least they haven’t just checked out of their relationships, they still care. Ok, so maybe they aren’t the perfect role models, but it’s not my fault that they are so funny.

knowing how to fight is important. How to be fair, how to allow the other person to be heard and to expect to be heard. All very important to a healthy family relationship, any relationship really.
