Business lessons learned from JB Fletcher

Angela_Lansbury.jpg Granted, we never saw a lot of Jessica Fletcher actually writing on the television show “Murder She Wrote”. None the less I still learned a few business lessons from her.

  • Jessica did what she was good at. Even though the episode seem like they were the same every week she always got the job done, so we kept tuning in, even though she doesn’t look like Tyra Banks. We knew that every week an uncooperative police man would agree to hide in the closet and pop out when Jessica needed help. We knew that the first person that was accused of murder was not actually the murderer. Jessica was just a likable personality that we could watch over and over.
  • She doesn’t let people stop her from doing her job even when she’s considered nosy or they say she isn’t wanted.
  • Jessica’s observant, she pays attention to things that other people just overlook or take for granted. She digs deeper even though it requires more work, time and difficulty.
  • Jessica is brave. I’m sure that hunting down murderers is even out of her comfort zone.

However, I think the biggest lesson that we can learn from J.B. Fletcher is that when there is a job that needs to be done someone needs to do it & do it well.
